Research Interests and Short Bio

Jorge Tenório Fernando is a PhD Student at the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a Guest Doctoral Researcher at the University of Mannheim. His research focuses on the internationalization of companies from emerging countries, with emphasis on the HQ-subsidiary intercultural relations on the corporate and employee levels; and knowledge management, connected particularly with knowledge creation and sharing.

His article "Renewable Energy Sources in Developing Countries: Challenges and Opportunities for a Sustainable Development Agenda", written jointly with Sergio Siani, was published in 2016 in the Journal of Innovation and Sustainability, ISSN 2179-3565, and is open for retrieval at

Mr. Fernando received his Master's degree in Business Administration from Mackenzie Presbyterian University, MBA in Marketing and specialization in Applied Consumer Sciences from Superior School of Marketing and Advertising (ESPM), specialization in International Trade from  Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP), and a Bachelor degree in Language and Literature (English, German, Portuguese) at the University of São Paulo (USP), Brazil. He has also over 25 years experience as an executive of multinational companies in the Latin American region.
